It exists to protect, care for and improve the environment including air, land and water. Environment Protection Authority (EPA) South Australia www.epa.sa.gov.au The Environment Protection Authority (EPA) is South Australia's leading environmental regulator, responsible for the protection of air and water quality and the control of pollution, waste, noise and radiation. The authority influences and regulates human activities to protect and restore the environment. It administers the Environment Protection Act 1993 and the Radiation Protection and Control Act 1982, as well as developing guidelines and codes of practice. WaterAid Australia www.wateraid.org/australia WaterAid is an international charity dedicated to overcoming poverty by enabling the world's poorest people to gain access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene education. Waterwatch Australia www.waterwatch.org.au Waterwatch is a national community water quality monitoring network that encourages all Australians to become involved and active in the protection and management of their waterways and catchments. Waterwatch groups conduct biological and habitat assessments as well as physical and chemical water tests.
